I have scenes in my head I see clearly. I plan out long, detailed dialogues. I come to write these things down and they're gone or refuse to transfer themselves to the screen.

I think every writer* wishes they could reach into their head and drag out the composition, fully formed, and drop it onto the page**.

Yes, if you're still describing the trees two pages later it's time to move along :) I really have the opposite problem - I forget the reader can't see inside my head and that I have to include more than just the dialogue if I want to write a novel and not a screenplay!
