[community profile] allbingo as part of the 3 Weeks for Dreamwidth event has a fun questionnaire you can fill in.

Here's my answers for week one

How long have you belonged to this community? What attracted you to it? How often do you play?

I can't be sure, but my first post tagged allbingo in my journal is Feb 1st 2015, for Valentines/Anti-Valentines Day.
I admit I don't play so much but one of the things I love about the community is that you can crosspost bingo claims from other bingo communities, including closed ones where you've generated cards for your own use based on their prompt lists.
I like to see the themes and what people come up with.

What do you like best about creative bingo? Do you feel that it helps you as a creative person?
I often need a bit of a nudge/excuse to create and bingo definitely helps me with that.

What are some of your favorite bingo themes? Are those single events, recurring, or a mix of both?

Obviously I enjoyed the Valentine/anti-valentine, and I had so much fun with the Meet Ugly (May 2019); in the past I've also enjoyed the Solo Celebration/Merry Month of Masturbation theme, the "Finish It" Bingo (narrator: she did not in fact finish it) and played the "Month of Rainbows" in April 2017. I like that there are regular events to look forward but with some new/irregular ones for variety.

Do you participate in other bingo communities? If so, what are some of your favorites?

I miss hurt/comfort bingo and angst bingo! Also Trope Bingo, Dark bingo.
There was also kink bingo, bloody bingo which I never finished, origfic bingo, cotton candy bingo, and snap-shot bingo which asked for photographs and I wish that would come back also! The snapshot bingo community has been deleted and purged :/ My bingo is here but I'm sad we don't have a list of the prompts.
I'm currently doing [community profile] genprompt_bingo.
Not really bingo but I'm also incredibly slowly working on 100 fandoms. We're doing mini bingo cards over at [community profile] lands_of_magic this round which is fun.

Do you typically create fills in the same format or fandom, or spread them out over different kinds? What will readers find in your work?
Mostly fanfic and graphics (mostly icons). I did play around with different formats last genprompt bingo with a pencil drawing I did and then edited in photoshop, and a poem, collages, and rec lists.

Have you ever made blackout (filled all the prompts on a card)? If so, how many times?
Six times: The allbingo meet ugly and solo celebration (2016) Trope Bingo round 3, 6 and 8; Darkship prompt meme (LJ community now purged)

Have you ever hosted a bingo fest here? If so, what was your favorite theme(s)? If not, what themes might you fantasize about hosting?
No. Maybe bringing back one of the bingos I miss, some mix of the hurt/comfort, angst prompts with some cotton candy ones thrown in to lighten the mood! Or snapshot bingo, but that was only for photos and theoretically many prompts could be used for photographs. But I'm not really up for running anything right now.

As I wrote in a recent post about why I love journals over other social media sites, I've been at Dreamwidth since April 2011. I joined, as many others did, because Livejournal was having so many service issues, mostly due to DDOS attacks. I liked the idea of having a back-up journal.

At first I kept the two separate, very different looking themes, for example (I once likened it to a summer house compared to my main residence) and imported my LJ regularly to my DW.

As time went on I began posting primarily to DW and cross-posting to LJ, regularly importing comments from LJ.

Now I try to keep a similar look to both journals. I post almost exclusively to DW with the crosspost feature enabled. I read my DW circle feed but I rely on notifications for LJ rather than use my friends' feed. There are communities I follow that maintain a presence at both sites, and communities that exist solely on DW, and I love them all.

I'm glad DW exists. I never expected to feel at home here the way I did at LJ, but the community spirit, the amazing Support team, and the way users are listened to has made it possible. While LJ has declined somewhat over the past few years, DW has stabilised in some areas and grown in others. So this is a brief contribution to [community profile] three_weeks_for_dw / the three weeks for Dreamwidth annual celebration, saying thank you to everyone who makes DW possible, and who makes it a success.
