Crowley finds what he believes to be Aziraphale's dead body and, grief stricken, comes to the conclusion that what they need is a holy final resting place.
The real Aziraphale is forced to watch this tragedy unfold.
God is not pleased with this turn of events.
Witnessing a casual act of homophobia is the last straw for the Aziraphale, sending him into a spiral of rage, doubting his faith and questioning God. Crowley tries to calm him, desperate to prevent Aziraphale from Falling. And then God intervenes and both angel and demon are surprised by the outcome.

Aziraphale and Crowley have a frank discussion on developing intimacy in their relationship, which comes to involve sleeping in the same bed. Or Crowley sleeps but Aziraphale doesn't, and when Crowley finds out he jumps to the wrong conclusion entirely. This forces Aziraphale to calm the distraught Crowley by confessing something he's kept private for millennia.

Slowly and carefully they explore physical intimacies from hair brushing to wing grooming to Crowley worshipping Aziraphale's body as much as the angel will consent to.
Thor: Ragnarok fork in the road AU. When Thor comes looking for his father Strange says Odin has chosen to remain in exile and he'll need to ask permission to reveal his location. Thor and Loki go out for coffee while they wait but Loki is shot when he interrupts a robbery. A desperate Thor rushes Loki to the nearest hospital. Something is very wrong when a single human bullet can do so much harm, and Thor is lost, alone, and afraid that five minutes after he's discovered Loki is alive that he's going to lose him again.
