So after years in progress I've got the novel finished and almost ready to go. But I could do with a beta reader, or several.

The novel is untitled. It was The Novella and then The Novel and now Juliet. I think it needs something a little more and I'm open to ideas/brainstorming.

The synopsis I've been using is this:
Juliet must marry before the next full moon or suffer the consequences. A story of romance and magic against a backdrop of rebellion against an oppressor, and hope for the future.

It's a fantasy/fairy tale themed het romance but there are gay characters in a background m/m relationship, a f/f relationship between a bisexual woman and lesbian, and an asexual character. The main protagonist and the villain are both female.

I've written previously about the novel and all posts are tagged c:Juliet (LJ tag/ DW tag). That tag includes a pre-canon, standalone fic, "Different Does Not Mean Changed", which has only ever had one reader as far as I can make out which makes me worry about the novel itself.

If you'd be interested in helping me out, give me a shout in the comments (screened) and tell me what format you'd prefer – eg a Word doc, Rich Text Format, I can do epub and other formats via Calibre or you can convert it yourself if you'd rather – and an email address I can send it to you at. Alternatively I can send it via Dropbox, let me know if you'd prefer a link that way.

I don't really have a timescale for comments – this was supposed to be published last year, if not earlier so a few more months won't make any difference – but let's say mid November would be good so I can collate any feedback for a final edit.

There are a few additions/minor alterations that I've thought about doing but I won't talk about them right now, and if they don't come up in the beta read, maybe they aren't important!

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Britain had the hottest ever recorded July day on the first of the month. I've been suffering in the heat, not sleeping well, and couldn't get online yesterday even when it was briefly cool enough to be indoors. Thankfully today is cooler. I'm very behind on everything though, and next week is my scheduled backup of the entire pc, so I'm going to be busy for a few days. Additionally, from the 9-18 July I'll be house sitting so I might not be online as much. One day I shall be fully caught up.

It's almost two months since I started blogging at my professional sites. Sometimes I seem to be gaining audience and at other times the entire endeavour seems pointless. Then again the same goes for blogging at LJ/DW.

I made a banner for my WP blog and I'll probably see about including it elsewhere unless anyone has issue with the wording:

So, I still don't feel ready to be doing this, but I probably never will, so here goes. I've set up a website (currently just a landing page linking to all my sites) a fiction blog at Dreamwidth and a non-fic blog at Wordpress along with the major social media sites.

I'm still adding content. So far I've got two product reviews, one meta, and an introductory post at the WP account and one poem and one ficlet at the DW account. My tumblr has a reblog queue to which I'm also adding promos of my content; I hope to create some original content suited specifically to tumblr/facebook.

Likes/subscriptions are much appreciated, even if you don't want to actually follow the content. Obviously reblogs/sharing of my original content links and comments on fic in particular would be amazing.
