Still here no thanks to the isolation from rest of family with no end in sight thanks to the even more draconian asshole in charge of Welsh government. They should have moved back sooner, at least we'd all have been in England and would have met up by now and hugged in direct contravention of psychopathic Hancock's "no hugging" bullshit. There are days I wonder if it's worth waking up to exist in this Orwellian dystopia amongst those cheering for their 'new normal' of isolation, dehumanisation, and government control. Thankfully there are people fighting back, including Simon Dolan's judicial review which starts soon, and when I go out walking most days I meet friendly people who aren't masked and say good morning, families taking children out for picnics, dog walkers who are utterly unfazed.
I don't have the energy for fandom right now. Most of my energy is spent siding with those on social media pushing back against the new abnormal. #NoNewNormal. I've reduced my GYWO pledge to the lowest level, because on the grounds of my mental health I felt that was acceptable. Still don't know if I'll get near the 75k goal. I'm writing for #writingwednesday and that's about all. I missed Merry Month of Masturbation (May) and didn't even realise until mid-June. Wondering if I'll even do Yuletide this year :/
