The Winter Solstice has been and gone, and the daylight is returning slowly. Not that you'd know today, I haven't seen anything but grey skies! Wrapping is done. Cookies have been baked. Christmas is approaching. Season's greetings and happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas to you! That's a nice thought that the daylight is returning, bit by bit.

I've just got some cleaning, vacuuming and ironing to do before the big day now, but not too much.

It's rather a matter of faith, knowing but not seeing as again it's so dark this morning! January is hard because at least at the moment we have Christmas lights up.

I'm actually quite excited about January as I have my yearly Funuary challenge and my daughter's birthday. And in February we're going to look at new homes! I think I've written some really funny fics this year, unfortunately for most people they are RPF, but that's where my interest lies. There is ONE Professionals fic though.

I've done the cleaning and ironing, just the vaccing to do now.

I think what doesn't help with that is the way it does it gradually, even as the sunset starts getting later, the sunrise is still not getting any earlier and won't until the new year (I hadn't realised that myself for years until Mum pointed it out to me).

My wrapping's all done now, even if it does look like someone's cat did it.

Yes, very true, the light is at the end of the day so less noticeable.
