You can read about the challenge at the introduction post
Challenge #1
In your own space, introduce yourself! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Hi all! I updated my sticky post post a bit late last year to reflect some of my newer fandoms and because someone pointed out to me that the date on it was early 2020, which had seemed a long way off when I first wrote it! I may edit it a bit more now I've been writing this post and thinking further about introductions.
I've got a long list of fandoms.
I also made a list of movies I watched in 2019
And a TV and book list
I post original work to my writer blogs on Wednesdays and those posts get copied here, sometimes as a round-up later in the week or as a monthly post/links to the original social media posts. My writer website with WiP outlines and links is here.
I'm doing Get Your Words Out again this year, 150k is once again my goal. I was behind a bit last year but not by as much as the previous year.
I learnt and developed how I write a bit more during 2019 but maybe that's something for a later challenge or a longer post :)
On my blog you'll find mostly fanfic, original fic and poetry, ramblings about media and fandom, and occasional meta, and some real life posts including my monthly BAG post (where I've Been, at At, am Going) with some occasional photos, plus posts for the Wheel of the Year. Sometimes I'll write about myself and social issues often through a fandom lens; asexuality, being childfree, etc.
I do a round-up post at the end of the month with links to all my posts for the month here and at the writer blogs, and an update on my GYWO total.

Date: 2020-01-02 05:07 pm (UTC)I joined GYWO this year too. I skipped last year but did it the 2 previous years. I have yet to meet my goal at any point, but I'm going to keep trying.

Date: 2020-01-03 05:29 am (UTC)OH GYWO. I tried the habit pledge this last year and it was a miserable failure. Back to word count land it is! [Sticking with 75k, in hopes of reviving the writerly mojo.]
I hope you write that longer post about how/what you learned/developed writing-wise. I'd love to read it.

Date: 2020-01-03 04:55 pm (UTC)I couldn't do the habit pledge because I've got weeks of zero words followed by days of 1-2k wordcounts; the spreadsheet has, over the years, taught me a lot about how I work best :)
Thank you, I'll have to make myself a note to write it so I don't forget!

So much this!
Have you written any Carter/Jarvis? It's not a pairing I'd considered before, but I could totally see it.
I learned how to knit last year! (I made it a goal in part based on seeing how many people mentioned it during Snowflake.) I'm still very much a beginner, but I'm enjoying it.

Date: 2020-01-06 03:11 pm (UTC)I've come close a couple of times but never actually written full-blow Carter/Jarvis. I felt so let down by s2 that I've not yet finished a fairy-tale inspired h/c fic that leans that way. But maybe for the right bingo prompt or if I rewatch/watch some cute fanvids I'd actually be inspired enough to do so!
That's great! I hope you have fun :D I didn't knit last year, just a bit of basic crossstich, but I do hope to get into it again this year :)
