December BAG post

meridian_roseFor newcomers, this is my BAG post, a term borrowed from the Fluent Self blog (Been, At, Going). I've not done great updating the monthly personal post this year but I hope to do better.
It does seem more worth taking the time when there are people reading though I've never left DW. I have made fewer personal posts, not that I made many personal posts at Tumblr because it's really not meant to be about personal things especially with no privacy filters. And since the NSFW purge there's been so much new activity here and I'm reading more and *commenting* and connecting with people. I can have respectful discussions here* in a way Tumblr never allowed nor wanted, and while the anti movement is not why the NSFW ban is happening it's what the antis wanted. It suits their black and white thinking, good and bad, knowing who is 'nice' and who needs harassing for not being Pure. Tumblr never felt like home, rarely felt like I could make a difference or be heard; I feel like a consumer there not a creator who's part of a community, and the lack of notes when I do promote my own work is disheartening.

I have not deleted my tumblr nor sideblogs, nor my writeblr, but I am there less and less. And it's nice to not have to face so much "tumblr culture"/anti bullshit (check out fiction-is-not-reality's blog at tumblr and DW if you want to see the kind of thing you're "missing" if you're not on tumblr or you've never witnessed some of the horrors and hilarity of purity culture that somehow also encompasses ace hate.) DW is on the whole an overall more pleasant space.

superhero_land comm at LJ, and I've followed more DW communities and users the last few weeks, and the 3 sentence ficathon is ongoing and worth checking out. My #dreamwidth tag has links to some places to find more communities to follow.
That's Been, and I always hoped for more journal activity so that's huge. It's also somewhat At.

getyourwordsout aka GYWO. My goal was 250k and became unachievable early on in the year. But 100k is within my grasp. I've signed up for 150k next year – if I complete NaNoWriMo next year that would easily boost me to that goal.
I'm not sure which days I'll be away over Christmas and what New Year plans are, so I'll just say now that I hope you all find some time to relax and enjoy yourselves.
Going forward, I'm hoping and stating intentions for a happier and more abundance 2019. This year has been rough and I know most, if not all of you, have faced difficulties, struggles, emotionally, physically, or financially. I want a better year for everyone, full of hope and success in your endeavours.
