Brief update

Things have been rough. I'm behind on reading. I'm struggling to keep my commitments to 3 fics per month at the professional blogs.
Last week I posted https://lmdee.wordpress.com/2018/06/13/fic-and-blog-update/ which linked to some earlier pieces of fiction and poetry and talked about my new website. The full text and links are reposted below. This week I posted, with some minor edits, an older piece of fiction.

Today is Writing Wednesday, week 2 of the month, but Writer's Block and personal issues have struck. So instead of something new, I'm revisiting some past posts that you might not have seen (or remember!)

I am sorry you are having a rough go of it and it sounds like you are very busy. I checked out your website and it looks good. It is very straightforward and seems very easy to navigate through and to use. Also thank you for all of your holiday posts I am enjoying learning more about them. I especially enjoyed this latest one on the Summer solstice.

Looked at the site - NICE! I'm intrigued by your WIPs. Very tasty. I think this needs a tiny bit of editing for clarity and more tempting. My thoughts in parantheses -

Learning later in life, slow-burn romance
When her (who) sister Kerine offers to fulfil the dying wish of their local sorcerer and bring home his estranged sister Sabrina (why), seamstress Bryony agrees to stay with Emeri (who is this??) to keep him company. Despite her initial reluctance (why) Bryony is soon developing her latent magical powers under Emeri's tutelage – and, despite knowing heartbreak must lie ahead, falling in love.

Thanks, I keep writing and rewriting the summaries trying to keep them brief and introduce the main characters without repetition (he=Emeri for example) and it's difficult. I'll keep amending them :)

When seamstress Bryony's sister Kerine offers to fulfil the dying wish of their local sorcerer, Emeri, and bring home his estranged sister to say goodbye, Bryony agrees to move into Emeri's house to keep him company. Despite her initial reluctance given her lower station and adult age, Bryony is soon developing her latent magical powers under Emeri's tutelage – and, despite knowing heartbreak must lie ahead, falling in love.

Yes! Much better! I hate summaries, too, but have learned the more detail the better. I was penning them too obtuse.

When seamstress Bryony's sister Kerine offers to fulfil the dying wish of their local sorcerer, Emeri, and bring home his estranged sister to say goodbye, (good, now we have these two woman sorted! and the mysterious Emeri, who is dying.) Bryony agrees to move into Emeri's house to keep him company (this is still vauge - why is she agreeing, what does this have to do with the estranged sister, and why does Kerine's presence need mentioning?). Despite her initial reluctance given her lower station and adult age, Bryony is soon developing her latent magical powers under Emeri's tutelage – and, despite knowing heartbreak must lie ahead, falling in love (nice! sparks an interest!).

I'll leave it for now at "keep him company" because it's an odd situation, a set-up to put them together until the moment they discover her latent magic; it's partly so he's not alone and vulnerable, partly because Bryony's not used to being alone and needs the company too :)

this does not look unproductive to me! which new website did you want people to look at? I looked at the weebly page, but cant really make sense of the layout. probably geared towards mobile, which makes sense. dont listen to me, then.

I primarily use the desktop pc for all my work so I don't know why it doesn't display properly for you :/
