NaNoWriMo - Day Twenty Four - character profile (Sabrina)

Character profile – Sabrina

Emeri's slightly older sister; she and Emeri were very close. However Tovan came to call and charmed her, wanting to marry her. Emeri made it clear he didn't trust Tovan and in a moment of foolishness Sabrina left with Tovan.
She never intended to stay away long, just enough to make Emeri realise he'd overstepped in trying to prevent her relationship, and hoped they would write to each other. But she didn't realise Tovan was intercepting her correspondence, so she never received any letters from Emeri, nor did he receive hers. Despite the lack of communication, Sabrina never gave up on Emeri coming to his senses and she wanted to go home for a visit. But Tovan had plans to steal Sabrina's magic and would not let her leave. He cast a spell on her to prevent her escape.
Without someone to rescue her, Sabrina is trapped at Tovan's castle, unable to communicate her peril to anyone. When Kerine shows up bearing an amulet from Emeri, Sabrina regains a sliver of hope that she can be saved. But Kerine comes with terrible news; her brother is supposedly dying. They must race against time to bring Sabrina home, no matter how imperfect the situation, as Sabrina is no longer as anyone remembers her.
Elegant and educated, Sabrina has lost her privileges and has faced challenges since leaving home. Kerine is vague about Emeri's situation because he was vague with her, but it's frustrating to Sabrina, who knows all the secrets and truths about their family and who must, for her sanity, hope there is a way to save him – and, for her own sake, him to restore her.

Poor Sabrina! This makes me very sad and worried for her. :( And it also makes me want to read to know what happens to them.

Thank you :) I'm trying to be not too spoilery about the specifics of the spell so it's more a surprise for Kerine/the reader :)
