I am Panis Rahl's son
I chose to take up the Sword of Truth and stand against Rahl / I chose to protect myself by strengthening my empire
What else should I have done?
I long to be surrounded by love, part of a family once more / I long to be safe and loved, finally part of a family
Is that so much to ask?

Date: 2012-10-10 08:39 am (UTC)It was going to just be the poem and to underscore the duality I wanted to lay it out in the two columns with the shared piece straggling both. And then I thought it would look even better laid out as artwork. And then I had to cut a verse so it could fit together and be readable, but I was pleased with the overall effect more than I was attached to that verse :)
