legendland challenges. All made in a very short time close to the deadline, so not by any means 'gold standard' but concrit is still welcome :D

Season Three Challenge
Season three picks up where season two ended; Richard and Kahlan are finally together and the Veil has been sealed. Nicci is in Darken's hands. Cara still has two agiels and Zedd is still hungry.
Richard and Kahlan discuss what to do and where to go next – Aydindril, for her to take on the duties of Mother Confessor, or the People's Palace so Richard can assume the mantle of Lord Rahl and try to restore peace. A third option is for Kahlan to pass her title to Dennee so she can stay with Richard, but Richard isn't willing to let her give up on her responsibilities and is still leery of being Lord Rahl.
They agree to travel to Aydindril first and get married there, and along the way they have many adventures. Meanwhile, Darken tries to find a way to use Nicci's powers to restore magic to his blood and regain his throne, while Nicci bargains for her life with promises of secrets she knows.
There is a new threat on the horizon however, a band of warrior clerics who despise magic and seek to use the current chaos to further their own ends. Verna establishes a sanctuary for those with magical powers and takes Jennsen under her wing, fearing she will be either murdered by the cult or used by them against the Confessors, Wizards and Witches.
Shota arranges a meeting between the brothers Rahl, who will be forced to consider forming an alliance against the group who want both them, and everyone they hold dear, dead.
It's time to prepare for war.

I love the idea of Verna creating a sanctuary for those with magic. And yay, Richard and Darken bonding :D

Date: 2012-02-07 09:01 pm (UTC)The screeling has really scary detail when lightened as in this icon! I think my favourite was the boxes of Orden - but then I do occasionally get attracted to shiny things :D
I've fallen in love with Verna as time has gone on, and I'd love to see her have played a large part in any future seasons - and it wouldn't be LotS without the Rahl brothers having angsty bromance :D

There was that fic I read once... Where Richard's father was never killed and Richard stayed beyond the barrier for a year longer and then Darken came with a visit... There was some bonding too... But it was never finished... *sighs sadly*

Date: 2012-03-03 01:54 am (UTC)I like your ideas for Season 3, and the prospect of Shota trying to facilitate an alliance between Richard and Darken is very intriguing, as does Nicci bargaining with Darken by stringing him along with secrets.
You and Riona would each have created a great 3rd Season for Seeker.
