I finally watched the final episodes of Smallville. It's the end of an era. I remember watching the very first episode and falling in love with the show. I have such fond memories, not just of the earlier seasons but of my life at the time those episodes were airing. Every time I rewatch an episode it brings back great memories. I've seen every single episode of this show and now it's over and it's harder for me than even the end of 'Lost' or 'Buffy'. Fandom, you're such an important part of my life, and it's so heartbreaking when a part of it is over.

agreed! I was so upset when charmed end... I cried when I watched the final episode. Same things with ER... these show are on for such long times and they become part of your life... *sigh* I hate when shows end.

It's so sad D: I know there's always repeats and dvds and fanfic, especially for longer running shows, but it's not the same.

no I own the whole series of Buffy and no it's not. I think the one that got me the most was the Sopranos because the ending just... so unfitting for the show.

I know what you mean. I haven't watched season 10 of Smallville yet, but when I do I expect it'll be upsetting to get to the end...although to date I think the end of Buffy was the hardest, for me.

With Whedon you always have to wonder if he's just going to kill everyone in a blaze of glory, so the Buffy finale was both hard and yet not quite as devastating as it might have been, but yes, still very sad D:
