internet outage

My internet was down all day yesterday. How the hell did I ever live without it? I tried doing some graphics, and some writing, and often had to rein in my frustration over not being able to google for a particular picture or word definition or quotation.

Honestly, I don't mind going off the grid when I'm away doing something fun, like visiting a beach or picnicking in the woods, but it's highly frustrating to not have access when you're at the PC and have stuff you want/need to be doing. I actually think I handled it rather well, though, and I did manage to accomplish a few bits and pieces. Today I'll be playing catch-up with all the entries and feeds and emails I missed out on during the unintended mini hiatus.

Sometimes I think that Internet prevent me to concentrate fully on the writing or graphic but then it's the only ressource I can look for translation, textures etc.

Exactly :D Start writing - need to look something up. Start graphics - need a texture. I used to have more reference books, up to date ones, but I rely on the 'net to look things up much more now.

I know what you mean about living without the Internet. I've been having some troubles with mine lately (whenever it rains) and it is so frustrating.
