"Interesting? How?"
"Well…it's symbolic. Probably."

"I don't know. Stuff. Things that other things are symbolic of."
"Oh, that's deep. Unlike the colours."
"It's a watercolour. That's actually a more difficult medium than oils, than you."
"Incredibly difficult by the look of this."
"It's…abstract."
"Putting it mildly."
"I mean that it has few connotations beyond what you, as the viewer, bring to it. It allows you to form your own opinion on the piece and any themes within it."
"I see. I have an opinion."

"It looks a four year old painted it and then the cat piddled on it."

Date: 2011-09-03 04:51 pm (UTC)LOL, I was thinking of some of those giant pieces of art they have in The Good Wife - I think Will's office has one that's really abstract - and how they're sort of interesting but on the other hand, they're not really 'of' anything, just random splashes of colour.
