Thank you for signing up for Yuletide! I hope you find this letter useful. I tend to ramble because I think plenty of choice is better than one really specific thing; that's my opinion as an author, anyway :)
DNW No kid!fic/pregnancy (de-aged characters are fine), non-con, character death, animal abuse.
General Likes
I am a fan of hurt/comfort, drama, gen, romance, crack/humour, character study, action/adventure, canon au's. Being shown another side to a character. Rare ships, OT3s. Fairy tales and mythological narratives and motifs. Regency AUs.
Kinks: kinks include hair kink, tattoos/scars, bathing/showering, desk sex, non-sexual bed sharing. (Not this a laundry list of must-do's or the only things I like, I'm just trying to think of particular themes I enjoy!)
Other stuff: I absolutely appreciate well-written porn/erotica - sensual sex scenes are the best - but I dislike portrayals of sex as the be-all and and-all of a relationship. Non-sexual intimacy is more important and endearing to me – things like heartfelt discussions, kissing, cuddling, displays of trust, emotional closeness. Bonus points for safe sex in modern canons/AUs (eg condom use).
I'm multi-fannish and can multi-ship. My long list of fandoms is here in case you have a marvellous idea for a crossover.

As in previous years, I'll mention each fandom now with some rambling and some potential ideas that I think would be fun to see explored.
Specific Fandoms
Da Vinci's Demons: Girolamo Riario
Background/canon: I've been requesting and writing this for Yuletide for a few years now. My affection for the show shifted from the side characters in season one to Leo x Riario in season two and has broadened a little in season three. I admit that I am currently stalled at season three episode eight; I was so disappointed with the direction the show had taken (which I have ranted about at length in various places) that I paused, fearing I'd lose my love for a fandom that grabbed me (in s2) in a way so few do. That said, I'm mostly aware of the spoilers.
All my DvD works are tagged at DW / LJ ; at AO3; and I have a side-tumblr for DvD.
I requested Riario only but there are lots of options here that I'd love to read.
Riario/Vanessa -For some reason I haven't requested this before and yet I've wanted it since before s3 began: Riario/Vanessa (or Riario & Vanessa) that I don't have to write myself. I've done it before and have notes for further fics but there's something special about reading a fic you didn't write!
On the surface they're different but as I point out here they have similarities too, religious backgrounds and a deep affection for Leo. Maybe Riario catches Vanessa instead of Nico but can't bring himself to use the Widow's Tear on her and that begins an uneasy alliance.
Maybe Riario finds Vanessa at the convent before Leo does and sees her potential, brings her to his side.
Maybe Riario and Vanessa have to work together to save Leo or Nico.
I'm okay with modern AUs, for it to be fluffy or cracky. Leo/Vanessa/Riario OT3 also accepted. Just some Riario and Vanessa interaction please!
Riario – gen I headcanon Riario as on the asexual spectrum, possibly grey asexual or demisexual. He isn't usually the seducer and only when a woman acts first does he respond as he thinks he should. This is complicated by internalised homophobia given the time period and his background; it's difficult for him to consider being gay or bisexual – or homoromantic/biromantic but also grey asexual. So anything about him considering his sexuality, his sexual and romantic feelings for various characters would be great.
Alternatively, something pre-canon. I have a thing for the long hair, and the more innocent, protective pre-canon Riario we see in the flashback. Exploring how he changes, or an AU where he makes different decisions, would be fun.
Riario/Zo – a ship I blame the Tumblr DvD fandom for! They have a hateship going on canonically, but it can be interpreted as jealousy over Leo – and if neither of them can ever truly have Leo, maybe they can have each other…OT3s also welcome.
I prefer modern AUs for this, but I'm also okay with canon Riario and Zo having to work together for Leo's sake.
Riario/Lucrezia – I've written this a few times and read what else is out there; I prefer AUs where there hasn't been the eye threatening and insults but otherwise I think there are some interesting dynamics here. I like the idea of them working together, possibly together seducing Leo, making their own power grab instead of following the wishes of their fathers.
Leo/Riario – the Leario grabbed me in s2 and there's still things to explore there. I love AUs where Riario stays with Leo instead of going back to Rome when they get home from their voyage, where Leo goes with Riario to Rome in season one, where the Labyrinth plotline doesn't happen. Modern AUs are great too.
Specific caveat here: for me, it's often about Riario opening up rather than domesticating Leo. I've seen too much modern au fic where Riario stops Leo drinking and smoking drugs and makes him eat healthily and go to bed at a reasonable time and it doesn't appeal, it doesn't fit their relationship for me; Riario is fascinated by Leo's refusal to follow social norms, to chase his genius. He wouldn't risk that by turning Leo into a mundane 9-5 sketch artist. So while Leo can learn to do things like actually pay his bills on time, I'd hate to see him become tame and submissive.
That was ridiculously long but I still have a lot of Riario feelings! I hope there's something there that caught your interest.
Wynonna Earp (TV): Doc Holliday
Background/canon - I saw a trailer, thought I'd give it a go, did not expect to love it this much! I'm currently at episode eleven but will be caught up shortly. The UK airdate for the final episode is due mid-October. I have not read the graphic novel. I've had an affection for Doc since "Tombstone" and I love this iteration of Holliday. I adore Wynonna herself and I love their interactions. There's not a lot of crack fic in the fandom (that I've seen) so go outlandish if you want to!
Doc vs Technology – one of the things I loved about season one "Sleepy Hollow" was Ichabod's amazement at how things had changed since the 1700s. I was surprised there wasn't more of this in Wynonna; the scene where Doc can't figure out how to start Dolls's car was priceless. Maybe his connection to the Stone Witch meant he's not quite as disconnected? I'd love to read fic where Doc struggles with technology, his surprise at new things and social mores, anything that explores his "man out of time" aspect.
Doc/Wynonna – I'd love more Doc/Wynonna generally. Hurt/comfort particularly appreciated. As I understand it, he's immortal but can be hurt and Wynonna angsting over a wounded Doc would hit my buttons. I don't know if the "the difference is she[Nicole] adores you[Waverly] back" gets addressed in the final episodes but I'd like to see that explored more, that Wynonna is capable of returning his adoration, even if it's not right now in the midst of all the supernatural and family drama but maybe in the future.
Doc & Waverly – I like Doc & Waverly, or indeed Doc & both the Earps working together. Waverly said he's always lying; I'd be interested in a deeper conversation between them about that, and/or Waverly digging into his feelings for her sister. Silly/fluffy stuff would also work well, domestic things like a picnic (though as Earps even that wouldn't go smooth!) – and feel free to include other characters if you're going for a Different Day Same Shit fic :)
Doc & Wyatt – there's a lot of talk from the Stone Witch about how much Wyatt loved Doc and I'd be all for pre-canon exploring Doc/Wyatt or Doc & Wyatt, and how this impacts on Doc's relationship with Wynonna (and Waverly). Doc didn't even blink at Waverly dating Nicole and that gratifies but also interests me, that he's so easily accepting.
I hope there's something interesting there for you but basically more Doc being Doc would be great :)
Black Sails: John Silver
Background/canon – I liked s1 but I didn't love the show the way I do now, and I wasn't truly invested in Silver until s2 when I fell in love (this is apparently my "thing" with Starz shows). Season 2 recently aired in the UK so that's as far as I've seen and while I do read later fic I'd prefer a S1/S2/pre-canon or AU fic to one set in S3 or beyond. This fandom appreciates the hair kink which is a huge plus for me (though mostly of the wanting s3 Flint's hair back rather than appreciating Silver's), and the AU fics, which I also enjoy.
Silver & or / Max - I love their friendship and I'd like to see more S1/S2/AU friendship fic or shippy fic with them. I recently rewatched the first episode and wondered if the plan had worked out, if Silver had sold the page, what then? Maybe he and Max could have run off together to start a new business, or maybe Silver and Max ended up owning/running the brothel together? Max's "Blackbeard" stunt made me think that Silver's storytelling could work in an AU where they go around pirating/highway robbing together; Silver sets the scene of the feared figure and people capitulate when the disguised Max shows up – them working as con artists together appeals.
Silver & or /Miranda (& /Flint) - I find myself interested in Silver & Miranda and am also wondering about the possibility of a poly ship with Flint. Silver is clearly not Thomas, which has both good and bad points; how does that affect the slowburn into poly happiness? I'm 100% there for Silver & Miranda or Silver/Miranda without Flint too. Their lack of canon interaction is something worth fixing in fic.
Other/gen - What were Silver's plans before he met Flint/how did he end up on the ship Flint raided? How did he become the manipulator we see in season one, what secrets are in his past? I've seen people suggest asexual!Silver for his ability to resist temptation in s1, and I'm always ready to read asexual spectrum characters with any romantic orientation. Crack fics and general series AUs are good too. I've bookmarked some fic at AO3, and rec'd a few Black Sails fics within my fic rec Tumblr tag if you want to see the kind of fic/AUs I'm most drawn to.
Basically Silver is an adorable, manipulative, clever little shit and fic about that is always good.
