A rough guide to where I've Been, am At, am Going
I'm working on Trope Bingo. I signed up way back when, and had months to work on it. Then the awfulness of February happened and March was spent mostly working on the novel. This is the first bingo card I've thought I might be able to get a blackout on, so I've been working hard to try and catch up before the deadline at the end of the month. I've posted ten fills, I'm working on two, and still have eight to start on.
The novel's second draft is finished and is currently in beta. I wrote a lot of new scenes and did a lot of editing. There's still a long way to go.
I've read some great fanfic – novel length fanfics are accessible to me now I have an ereader, though I still love shorter fics (I can read those at my pc and reply immediately, remembering to go back and leave reviews on downloaded fics is a slight downside). I've also read some great fic both mainstream and independently published, and a ton of crap I deleted without even finishing. One Hundred Free Books is a great resource which I highly recommend for finding new material. They all link to US Amazon downloads but there's a link to the UK site which works more often than not and as for me not owning a Kindle…did I ever mention Calibre? :D
I had a lovely Beltaine at the park with my sister and nephew - Brueton.
I'm behind on uploading photos and I have a lot of things I want to do. I have one piece almost ready to post for May as the Merry Month of Masturbation, but I had planned on doing more. I seem to be playing catch up since February, one project (novel, trope bingo, backing up the PC) after another.
I'm supposed to be house and cat sitting at the end of the month which is usually quite a nice week but there are reasons I'm somewhat stressed about it this time. Fingers crossed it goes well, that the weather is good so I can spend plenty of time out in the garden, and that I get internet access so I can at least check email.
