Smallville fanvid
Oct. 15th, 2012 04:37 pmTitle: Major Zod (Amazing)
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing/Characters: Zod, Clark Kent, Tess Mercer
Rating: PG-13
Type: fanvid, run time just over 2 minutes
Soundtrack: "Amazing" by Kanye West. This song is often used for antiheroes, the morally grey, and the villainous since they are aware of their 'badness" ("I'm a monster") and shortcomings but are still determined and self confident ("so amazing", "never gave up"), even embracing and using their weaknesses ("you'll never take that from me"). Zod's character fitted the bill.
Summary: Character study of Zod.
Warnings/Content Notes: No standard warnings apply. Some violence and gore appropriate to the PG-13 rating. Spoilers for season nine and the season ten episode "Dominion".
Notes: I don't consider myself a vidder the way I consider myself a writer, although I have made fanvids on occasion for landcomm challenges. But I really wanted to make this, for myself, not for any prompt or challenge.
Just because I wanted to watch it (the way you might write a fic you want to read). Just because I thought I could do a decent job of it. I'm pretty pleased with it (though a better/more experienced vidder could have done an even better job).
