What phrase do you use that others wouldn't understand? [edited because the html got screwed when I posted it before]

 “Killer Instinct Weather”

Meaning: stupidly hot, especially at night

Because: A few summers back the usual UK showers were a distant memory and a heatwave gripped the country. It was too hot outdoors even in the shade. It got to almost midnight and it was still 32 degrees inside and stifling and much as I wanted to sleep, I couldn’t. I flicked through the satellite channels and came across “Killer Instinct” starring Johnny Messner. It was the episode featuring Egyptian Mythology which interested me enough to watch it (and the subsequent episodes) which wouldn’t’ have happened but for the weather being so inconvenient. So any weather that’s unbearably hot and stuffy gets measured against this standard.

Usage: “It’s hot, but it’s still not Killer Instinct weather”
