30 Day Fanfic Writing Meme – Day 19

meridian_rose19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
I file it away in my head. Or I plan out the entire fic in my head. Then I never write it. This is true for probably ninety to ninety nine per cent of the ideas I've ever had. Every article on writing says 'keep a notebook'. Sometimes I make a note in a notebook or in a Word document or even a locked blog post, but I often don't go back to them. Sometimes I really regret not making notes, when I know I had a perfect description or line of dialogue worked out, or a way to resolve a plot hole, and later cannot recall it at all. Unfortunately I never regret it enough to change this bad habit.

27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
