Snowflake Challenge (Day Eight)

(I honestly don't expect much response though. I get fewer and fewer comments these days as it is hence the "blogging for the sake of blogging" and "just talking to myself these days" tags! But I'm trying to show willing)

Hi,

I don't know you (yet?) so I can't really describe in detail how wonderful you are (though you totally are, I'm sure of it!).

First off, *hugs*. I think most of us online for any serious length of time go through these times of isolation when we feel no one's talking to us and everyone's drifting away. That's so sad. But sometimes it's necessary, too, for new people and new places to arrive.

However. Why you're all kinds of wonderful. Obviously, I don't know you. BUT! You're doing this Snowflake Challenge in spite of feeling alone and isolated, and that tells me a lot about what a great person you are. You're creative and brave and strong and you're still enthusiastic about things in spite of it all and willing to reach out and contribute. So, you're really rather awesome.

Anyway, I figured that I'd use this love meme to spread positive vibes by sharing encouraging quotes because I believe that all of us have the potential to be amazing and awesome beyond our wildest dreams and worst fears. This is the quote I picked for you:

Thank you! A lot of fandoms, yes! I finally made a list of all my fandoms when I was giving the OK for crossovers at Yuletide and when I included 'fandoms I'm familiar with but don't much interact with' it got very long indeed :D

We've never talked, but like Juno pointed out above, doing this challenge and showing willingnesss in the first place says a lot about you - isolation doesn't have to mean that you messed up or are uninteresting, just that maybe that there was a shift of interests, or awkwardness because some time has elapsed since someone last spoke to you. It doesn't have to reflect negatively on you (I'm prone to the same sort of thinking, and a lot of times the silence was for completely different reasons). And from your profile page it looks like you're involved with a ton of fannish spaces other than just your journal - all those communities, for example - if that isn't generosity, then I don't know what.
