"And that's why I can't go back to Belgium," Robin said.

Carter stared at him. Robin smiled and took a gulp of his beer.

"I thought that was the thing with the pineapples." Aura was lying on the floor, propped up on one elbow, nursing a large glass of wine.

"No, no, that was Sweden. I think." Robin waved one hand dismissively.

"Pineapples don't grow in Sweden," Carter pointed out.

"That would be the problem," Nikolai agreed, turning from the window to participate in the conversation. "But that's a story for another time, I'm afraid. Carter, I think our suspect just arrived."

A provocative slice of Aura/Nikolai/RObin life (Or unlife in the case of A and N), that left me wanting to know more. You're really good at that. D

LOL, I'm not sure I even know the real story of the pineapples :) It's fun to give them bizarre half-told backstories suggesting all the things immortals can get up to! (Robin is also immortal, I should add. Poor Carter gets very little human company these days)
