I'd tried highlighting the photo in hopes that my text-to-speech software would tell me if there were a link if not at least some alt-text, but it didn't tell me. (I have some vision, so a navigate with my eyes and read mostly with my ears, but I didn't see that it was click-through-able.)
And I so agree: that phrase has bothered me for ever. I never saw the difference between having a bleeding disorder (easy bruising) and being emotionally sensitive. They're both involuntary and they both are at the mercy of the rest of the world as to whether it'll be gentle with me.
Glad you were able to read at the source :) I ought to start using alt-text to also provide a link. I know the original quote is attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt and it is supposed to be empowering but I feel swankivy's entry is a better explanation of why it's hard to "just" shrug off people belittling you, being condescending, trying to tear you down. If you say "I feel x because someone said/did y" the response is often "don't let them get to you" but as you clearly understand, that can be easier said than done :(
