mmom is celebrating its tenth anniversary next month and would love for you to join in the fun.

The Merry Month of Masturbation is a comm with a challenge: post a fic every day of May, a fic that features masturbation (doing it, talking about it, watching it, etc). And there are no rules beyond the fic being at least 100 words and involving masturbation; if you only write one fic, that's fine too. If you don't finish and post until June, that's okay – either way, you can add your fics to the AO3 collection.

And if fanfic isn't your thing, at least consider some original work during May that touches on the subject. Masturbation is a safe way to explore sexuality and fulfil sexual needs, but has been much neglected by mainstream and non-mainstream media.

I don't do fic (when I write creatively, rather than the nonfic historical research I write for a living, it's poetry) but I'm glad to see that the friendings have worked! :o)

It's an important subject for me (at the risk of TMI, as an asexual it's probably the only sex I'll ever have), so I'm glad to signal boost.

Oh, that's very interesting work :) Although I have a love of certain historical fiction books and tv shows, and I have opinions on how the characters and interesting plots are more important than accuracy. I'd rather see it as historical fantasy and enjoy it rather than see fiction being forced into a documentary or textbook.
On the other hand, if I do want to know a historical fact I can maybe get an actual informed opinion before I decide how accurate I want and need to be, depending on the particular time periods/cultures you're an expert in :)

I'm trans, straight and married so in my case, sex isn't too much of a thing as I have a husband who seem willing enough to provide such needs! :o)

I taught disabled kids for years, but history was always my first love and where my quals actually lay, so I came round to it eventually.

It does, however, mean that hist fic can drive me nuts!
