Yesterday I spent most of the day trying to sleep off a migraine. I managed to later skim my flist, although I had to crank the brightness on my monitor right down. I'm catching up now, though :D

That fic I was working on? The mini big bang? I've done some more work on it; maybe it didn't want me to finish it because it wasn't finished. To tell the whole story that I want to, it's become a lot longer. I wrote a scene last night that I didn't even know I was going to...

I think it's almost in the running for a big bang [fifteen k is my experience though I know it varies wildly]; I'm at eleven thousand words, and not finished yet. Of course if I'd signed up for this as a big bang I'd be worried about not making the word count, etc. Strange how motivations work...I just need to check there's no maximum word count on the challenge I want to submit it for. And I refuse to get wound up about the possibility of it being disallowed. I can easily write something else if needs be, because I'm temporarily at least back in the zone.

Where did February go? I can't believe it's March next week.

On the other hand, V season two will finally air next month, so I'm excited for that :D

It was mostly gone by Sunday evening and I felt so much better when I got up yesterday thanks :D

There's only twelve/thirteen eps of V season one though, more doable than a twenty two episode run, so even if you can't catch up completely before new airings, you wouldn't be far behind :D

It sounds like your big bang fic is going well and you're so excited about it. Will the rest of us be able to read it?

Despite the fact that my work schedule throughout March and into early April is hellish, I'm always glad to see March. The faster January and February go by, the better. Longer days and spring almost here! April through August are the months that fly by too fast for me.

You will certainly be able to read it if you want to when I finally get it finished - it's an AU where Richard takes the view that destiny is avoidable, and prophecy guesswork, and therefore is much more sympathetic to Darken Rahl. It's turning into a bit of a fix-it AU with some R/K and Darken/Cara :D

It sounds fascinating, and yes I want to read it! Are there going to be some Darken/Richard bonding moments? (I know, I know - you can't tell anyone).

There will be bonding; that's a large part of the idea behind the fic, that under other circumstances the brothers could be close friends :D

Off-hand I don't know of many fics out there that focus too much on the relationship between Darken and Richard - at least not in a positive way. This sounds awesome!
