Legend of the Seeker Fic: Graduation

Cara/Dahlia, PG-13, "Graduation"; Cara's training is nearly complete

Title: Graduation

Cara stood in the stone camber, wearing just her linen undergarments, hair loose about her shoulders. Mistress Nathair watched, agiel humming as she held it, occasionally slapping it against her own palm, eyes hooding momentarily with the pleasure-pain.

The two other Mord'Sith in the room brought over the red leather garments. They helped Cara dress; the tight trousers, a belt, the low cut top, the boots. Then the gloves, pulled firmly on over each finger, covering the sleeves of the top so skin was exposed.

One of the girls brushed Cara's hair, and Cara stood patiently, head bobbing occasionally as the child found a knot to untangle. Then her long blonde hair was expertly braided.

Finally came the outer corset, covering her cleavage and her throat. Cara's breath caught a few times as the garment was laced up, the laces tugged on with gusto, though she showed no outward signs of discomfort.

The girls stepped aside, heads bowed. Mistress Nathair held out the agiel and Cara took it, feeling the energy coursing through her. She slipped it into the holster at her waist, knowing she would always have access to this instrument that had trained her so well. It was a comforting thought.

"Welcome to the Sisterhood," Mistress Nathair said, "Mistress Cara."

Cara bowed her head briefly. Her training was complete. "Thank you, Mistress."

"Dismissed."

Cara strode proudly out into the corridor where Dahlia, now similarly adorned waited.

"You look wonderful," Dahlia said.

"As do you, Sister," Cara said, eyes roving over the leather-clad beauty.

"What now, do you think?" Dahlia asked.

"Now," Cara said, "we celebrate." She pulled Dahlia close and kissed her so hard as to bruise her lips.
