I have scenes in my head I see clearly. I plan out long, detailed dialogues. I come to write these things down and they're gone or refuse to transfer themselves to the screen.

I think every writer* wishes they could reach into their head and drag out the composition, fully formed, and drop it onto the page**.

YES THIS. I have this problem unless it's something like... horrific? For some reason, I find it really easy to describe the horrific, but beautiful is something else.

And I have trouble just visualizing interiors at all. Like out of doors locations I can figure out pretty well, but I'm bad about only having a vague image of what's in a room. Like I know that somewhere there is a chair. And there's probably a bookshelf. But where they are? NO IDEA.

Oh and I always have to go back to add descriptions of people. I always gloss over what they look like in first drafts, and then realize later that I've just sort of assumed everyone knows what they look like <_<

Oh yes! My beta pulled me up on a dining room scene with "where is everyone sitting because I can't tell and it's confusing". So I had to try and imagine directing the scene because you don't get to say "lol, sit anywhere - NOT THERE" if you're directing your actors. And I even made a quick floor plan with basic drawing tools. Because otherwise I'm very much "It's a dining room...tables and chairs and things..."

It's really difficult to try and look at the work with fresh eyes and imagine you're reading this for the first time and so have no clue that character A is tall and dark haired!
