Thank you :D I hadn't planned on a sequel but I never say never. I don't see Kahlan as coldhearted so much as practical here - I hadn't decided if she's softening for Rahl or still just plotting to restore the timeline.
I highly recommend hrhrionastar's Princess Rahl fic and becky16's "Serpent's Tooth" fic (both ongoing) as fics that explore Kahlan/Rahl and potential feelings between them.
