I mean this is true, but it is also a lot more difficult to find certain kinds of content on DW. However for the mindless-image-saving that I actually enjoy to some extent, Pinterest actually does it better? It had all the visual content without much opportunity for interaction. The lack of interaction gives users much less of an opportunity to be mean to each other, while the amount of interaction required in DW discourages the kind of complete anonymity that makes people badly behaved. Tumblr was a really toxic mix with just the right amount of anonymity that brought out the worst in people, which is why I left in 2014.
