It's based on the Midnight books by Charlaine Harris but like True Blood before it, the show is much better, not so slow and much more diverse :)
Francois Arnaud (The Borgias) plays psychic Manfred who finds himself in supernaturally friendly Midnight, Texas, home to vampires, witches, weretigers and angels. There are a few tone deaf moments and it's a little cheesy but what do you expect from something with so many supernatural elements :P
I talked a bit more about it and all the fic I've been writing in my other post; I've actually written several ficlets already as this one has grabbed me :)
