I was worried I was skating dangerously close to cheesy as fuck, but I think Leo can be cheesy as fuck and have it still be lovely, because that's the Leo effect. As long as he means it, it's beautiful to be told :D
I'm glad we talked a bit which helped me decide that Nico should go with Riario and keep an eye on him, because there can be some good conversations there, and it feels better than leaving him completely alone. And Zo, after the previous chapter of this series that's becoming far more plot-ty than I'd intended, had to voice some concern. I've got him feeling reluctantly sympathetic toward Riario now :D

This still feels less polished than some of the things I'm proudest of, but I'm definitely enjoying it, and there are definitely some Leo/Riario exchanges I'm pleased with! I'll get this chapter posted to AO3 soon, and I'm currently working on something for hurt/comfort bingo, and then I'll think about where I want to go next with this series!
