This was deliciously creepy - the contrast between the beginning, when your central character sees himself as some type of amateur detective, to the mysterious final line.

His horror at disobeying her said a lot about how dangerous she actually was. Then the idea of staying there and drinking tea with her made it even worse.

I like that you didn't actually reveal her secret.
