I'm trying to decide whether to try and 'fix' it in the story or add an AU disclaimer in the summary/notes. And blame the Powerful Magic that's at the pillars of creation :D

This might raise more difficulties than it fixes, but I just had a thought about that - maybe the magic of the Pillars of Creation makes Cara - and presumably RKZ - remember the other worlds they've been through? The AUs in 'Unbroken,' maybe. I don't know how one could remember something that never happened, but Richard and Cara remember the 'Reckoning' AU, and Zedd does remember the different possible Cara AUs. It would be interesting to see them sort of get glimpses of their other possible fates.
