This was absolutely beautiful. I read it twice through and am sure I still did not catch all the references. The last few sections, in particular, read like a dream sensed through a mist.
I've never seen "Merlin" and am not familiar with how the various characters from Arthurian legends are portrayed in that universe, but I have read and seen various other interpretations.
I love the way you intertwine Morgana and Gwaine's destinies, and have her older, wiser self convince Morgana of the importance of helping an enemy - how her actions are crucial to what will become of both her and Gwaine.
It was also lovely that Gwaine remembers seeing the same "future" Morgana, and being warned by her of the Green Knight - which will, of course, be his singular quest.
And the way you depicted Avalon through the scent of apples and the feeling of safety and security was wonderfully effective.
