I agree so much with this! I was kinda flaily when LJ was offline for so long (and has gone back offline now, for me at least). I have a few "real" friends, but I honestly feel more connected to most people I've met online. Just because we usually have a lot in common and usually I'm more comfortable talking when I don't have to face people at work or whatever.
