A series of unusual events leads Amy to become Mistress of a rather odd House. Eroticism is at the heart of the House, in the form of both pleasures and punishments. Initially shy and uncertain, Amy nonetheless starts to grow into the role of Mistress, selecting guests and exploring her own desires.

There's a problem though. Amy has never had sex, but within one year, she must choose a First Companion, a sexual partner above all others – or lose her position and new found power. Yet the motto of the House is that "All things are possible".

This work explores sexuality, eroticism, and kink in the broadest sense, and includes themes of non-sexual intimacy and asexuality, BDSM, RACK (risk aware consensual kink), and fantasy.)

However Tamara has been expecting Jake since a particular premonition she had three years ago, and she readily goes with him in order to try and save his friend. What she wasn't expecting was to find Jake so attractive, nor that he would be the supportive influence Miles never was.

Carter, once a cop, now forced into a high-profile but unwanted liaison role, finds himself in the middle of a heist at a museum. When the night is over, most of the criminals are dead, though his recollection of the events is hazy. Determined to find out what happened, he tracks down two witnesses from that night, Aura and Nikolai.

Aura and Nikolai are not pleased to see him. They are not human and Carter shouldn't remember them at all - but by some genetic quirk he's immune to their hypnotic powers. He rather wishes he weren't, for now he's become tangled up with a supernatural world he never believed existed.

But when a series of murders plagues the city, Carter finds that Aura and Nikolai's unique talents might be the only way he can stop the killing spree.

update/ramblings/LotS meets the VD

Thank you to mrs_jack_turner for the virtual gift of a pumpkin cookie :D

I've finally posted my original fic index posts. (Thanks to dorothydeath for helping with the blurbs) Now I just have to keep them up to date!

I did have other things I wanted to do, but before LJ implements the new f-list as a mandatory thing, I'm starting to go through all seven pages of my subscriptions and unsubscribe from old journals/comms no longer updated, and then track via email/add rss feed to DW for all the ones I'm still active in. (I've managed one page so far!) Then I guess I'll back up all the pages I have in 'memories' before people start deleting their journals as many have threatened to.

Dreamwidth is aware of, and is working on a fix for, the importing comments issue.

I hope to post some more photos next week, from Halloween, and of the pets.

Goals for the month: post at least 8k of fic. Claim at least one bingo for cottoncandy-bingo. Start my Yuletide assignment.
